bed uncomfortable and pillows woke up with sore neck

the bar closing at 10:30 pm on a saturday was very disappointing - would have loved a glass of red wine before bed

the room was of a good size with the bathroom being a tad small,

no fridge in the standard rooms

inefficient staff - no one directing traffic etc

bathroom was a bit small

the bathroom was small and the shower was really awkward to operate

the bathroom was very poky

wifi could not connect

though awareness of street/nearby noise

the bar is small

we were disappointed with the breakfast as staff were very slow in refilling food items and juices

when i arrived staff wasn't friendly

beds and pillows uncomfortable

have stayed many times before and this was the most uncomfortable bed i have ever slept in or should i say hardly slept in

room and bathroom was a bit dated

the room was old

the bad: we stayed in room 2214 for our first 4 days

the location of the room which i now know was close to the lifts was extremly noisy [internal noise re

the pool is a bit underwhelming

the pool was unclean and very dated

terrible customer service

a staff member came around telling us that if we wanted coffee we needed to order in the next 10 minutes

club sofitel was overcrowded and staff appeared overwhelmed

it didn't help that staff in uniform were seen walking past

i switched rooms a grand total of 4 times

showing signs of age particularly around d cleanliness

horrible and drab room with view of a wall with electrical wires

i have paid more for poorer quality rooms in other big name hotels in the melbourne cbd

for improvements it needs more usb/bedside power points in the rooms

the room was dirty we found a used bandaid on night stand also no notification of renovations happening that made hotels bar and restaurant unavailable also lolly bar was just on jar of mints at check in was not offered any discount for unavailable services

no on site restaurant anymore

carpets and bathroom need deep cleaning

stainless steel bathrooms were not appealing and very dimly lit throughout

stool and the bathroom needs more attention

we couldn't gain access to our room and our belongings

rooms were very outdated

took 3 phone calls to tell staff about it lighting in lounge room was very bright

staff were very lack lustre

staff were very judgemental and rude

gym needs to be updated

i didn't like the room we got only because of the view we where faced looking at the crown promenade last time we stayed we had the full city view and for a couple from the bush we certainly enjoyed seeing the city view on our first stay

somewhat limited in a variety of food,

i feel for the price you pay the view is sub par compared to other hotels in the area as well as the facilities

with older carpets and tvs that could use an update

the tv didn't work very very unhappy for the money i paid should of had a television had the best football game on and i missed them and also i gave a $200 dollar deposit had a $80 dollar breakfast and only got $55 back it doesn't work out please explain thanks stuart rae

our tv didn't work so we had to have a maintenance person come to fix it

no decent lighting to apply make-up
